REP. ESKAMANI ANNOUNCES STATEWIDE VOTER REG TRAININGS

Rep. Eskamani said, "we are going to give volunteers the training, tools, and data needed to register new voters in communities all across Florida."

Orlando, FL — Today, Rep. Anna V. Eskamani announced that People Power For Florida will be hosting two virtual Voter Registration Volunteer Leader Trainings that will provide volunteers all across Florida with the training and tools needed to register new voters. Representative Eskamani said, "Florida Republicans have made the voter registration process unnecessarily complicated for the everyday person who wants to help their neighbors, coworkers, or friends register to vote. People Power For Florida is making it as easy as possible for volunteers and community advocates all across our state to register and empower voters in their communities.”

Launched by Representative Eskamani, People Power For Florida is a grassroots political committee committed to transformational change in Florida with the goal of registering 25,000 new voters before the 2022 election cycle. “Change comes from building a multi-class, multi-racial and multi-generational coalition that leaves no one behind,” added Representative Eskamani.

Volunteers who attend the two-hour virtual training can expect to learn the Division of Elections’ rules and organizing tactics for connecting with unregistered Floridians. After the training, each new volunteer leader will be mailed all the tools and resources they need to start registering voters.

There are two scheduled trainings -- Sunday, June 27th, 3-5 pm and Tuesday, June 29th, 6-8 pm.

Rep. Eskamani said, "any Floridian interested in building local political power should join us to hear about our plans to redefine Florida's electorate through year-round organizing."

Volunteers can RSVP for the Voter Registration Volunteer Leader Trainings via

People Power for Florida was founded in 2017 with an initial contribution of $35 from then first-time candidate Anna V. Eskamani. The committee does not accept contributions from corporations. More information can be found at
